写真家・佐内正史とVacantによる展覧会シリーズ「展対照」の第3弾を開催します。

本展では、佐内の自主レーベル「対照」から刊行された写真集より、岡本太郎の作品を撮影した最新作『雷写』（2026）を中心に、『Strong Memory』（2025）、『銀河』（2018）からセレクトした作品を展示します。

90年代を代表する写真家として、雑誌や広告など多様な媒体での仕事を手がけ、数多くの写真集を発表してきた佐内と、Vacantは2012年に「対照」の写真集を解体する試みとして、イベント『解対照』を開催して以来、交流を重ねてきました。Vacantのアーカイブブック『Vacant/Edition』 の1号目、2号目では、Vacant主宰・永井祐介との対話が収録されています。

佐内正史（さない まさふみ）

写真家。1997年、写真集『生きている』でデビュー。2003年、写真集『MAP』で第28回木村伊兵衛写真賞を受賞。2008年に独自レーベル「対照」を立ち上げる。2026年3月、最新作『雷写』を刊行、同時に岡本太郎記念館で写真展「雷写」を開催する。近著は『Strong memory』『写真がいってかえってきた』『静岡詩』。主な展覧会に「Strong memory」book obscura(東京、2025年)、「展対照第二部」Vacant（東京、2025年）、「写真がいってかえってきた」book obscura(東京、2024年)、「静岡詩」タカ・イシイギャラリー（東京、2023年）「静岡詩」静岡市美術館（静岡、2023年）、「対照 佐内正史の写真」川崎市岡本太郎美術館（神奈川、2009年）など。

Masafumi Sanai and Vacant present the third installment of the exhibition series Tentaishow.

This exhibition features a selection of works from photobooks published by Sanai’s independent label Taisho, centering on his latest publication Raisha (2026), in which he photographs the works of Taro Okamoto. Also on view are selected works from Strong Memory (2025) and Ginga (2018).

Recognized as one of the leading photographers of the 1990s, Sanai has worked across a wide range of media—including magazines and advertising—while publishing numerous photobooks. Since 2012, when Vacant hosted the event Kaitaisho, an experimental project that deconstructed the photobooks of Taisho, Sanai and Vacant have continued an ongoing dialogue. The first and second issues of Vacant’s archive book Vacant/Edition include conversations between Sanai and Vacant director Yusuke Nagai.

At the Taro Okamoto Memorial Museum (Minami-Aoyama, Tokyo), the exhibition Raisha will be held concurrently. We warmly encourage you to visit both exhibitions.

I look as I photograph, aware that one day I will see.

I press the shutter with the sense that someday I may truly come to see.

When I face the finished print, it feels as if I am seeing it for the first time—and yet, perhaps I still haven’t seen it.

I am looking at the premonition of what is yet to become visible.

Masafumi Sanai

Born in 1968 in Shizuoka, Japan. He received the Excellence Award at the 12th Canon New Cosmos of Photography (1995) and debuted with Ikiteiru (Seigensha, 1997). Awarded the Kimura Ihei Photography Award for MAP (2003). Founded his independent photo label “Taisho” in 2008 and has since published numerous photobooks. He also works as the unit Gitaiya with musician Keiichi Sokabe.
