新たな拠点となるVacant/Centreは、本棟5フロア/別棟2フロアのなかに、Vacantのアトリエをはじめとして、ギャラリー/シェアスタジオ/レジデンス/ワークショップ/ダイニングスペースを設けています。
以前の原宿のスペースでは、空き地のような広々とした空間に、種々様々な〈場〉を、ほんのひとときのあいだだけ発現させるということを、10年間繰り返し実践してきました。今回はスペースを分化することで、VACANTの新たなテーマのひとつである「ポリフォニック（多層的）」な思考と創造を、じっくりと醸成していくことのできる環境をつくりあげていきたいと考えています。
Our new space Vacant/Centre is a five-story building with a two-story annex, which consists of Vacant's atelier, gallery, communal studio, residence, workshop, and dining space.
At our previous space in Harajuku, we've repeatedly practiced developing a momentary 'place' in various forms in an open empty lot-like space for over a decade. Now by splitting the space, we hope to develop an environment to carefully foster ‘polyphonic' thinking and creation.
