Special Color "泥染め / Mud dye"
Vacant/Centreの建物に使用した左官素材の”土色"をベースにしたオリジナルカラー。染色は1300年の歴史を持つ、本場奄美の伝統技法である泥染めを行う『金井工芸』。島に自生するテーチ木(車輪梅)と、150万年前の古代地層の影響による鉄分豊富な泥との化学反応を、現代的にアレンジし特別な色に染め上げました。

This exclusive color is inspired by the earthen plaster used in the Vacant/Centre building. The dyeing is carried out by Kanai Kougei, artisans of Amami with over 1,300 years of tradition in dorozome (mud dyeing).

By combining the natural teechi tree (Japanese hawthorn) that grows on the island with iron-rich mud formed from ancient geological layers over 1.5 million years ago, a unique chemical reaction occurs. Reinterpreted through a contemporary approach, it results in a one-of-a-kind, deeply expressive shade.

・タンブラー乾燥、ドライクリーニングは変色する場合があります。

・過度のアルカリ性や酸性に振れると変色する場合があります。 (泥染めはクエン酸に反応いたしますので柑橘系成分にもご注意ください)
