Vacantはコペンハーゲンにスタジオを構えるFRAMAの本店FRAMA Studio Storeにて、インスタレーションを開催しました。 "Unwrapped"と題した本インスタレーションは、ヨーロッパ初上陸となるVacantが、オリジナルプロダクト〈Vacant/Multiple〉のアイテムや、過去に展示を行った作家たちの作品をFRAMAに運び込み、その荷を解いていくプロセスを通じて、多層的な活動の一端を映し出しました。

このイベントに合わせて制作した”Unwrapped Paper↗︎"は、Vacantの活動のアーカイブと、ハンドペイントのアートワークを載せたラッピングペーパー。インスタレーションへの展開と、プロダクト購入者へのラッピングに使用しました。またFRAMA Studio Store内の「SELF CARE」セクションに、Vacantがデザイン・制作を手がけた天井照明を設置しました。(Migrating Light↗︎）

ファッションウィークとアートウィークで、コペンハーゲンの街全体が一層の賑わいを見せる中、多くの方々にFRAMAとVacantが協働して創り上げた場へ立ち寄ってもらえたことを嬉しく思います。

Vacant presented an installation at the flagship store of FRAMA, the FRAMA Studio Store. Titled “Unwrapped,” the installation marked Vacant’s first presentation in Europe. Through the process of bringing items from its original product line Vacant/Multiple, along with works by artists previously exhibited by Vacant, into FRAMA and unpacking them on site, the installation revealed one facet of Vacant’s multi-layered activities.

Created in conjunction with this event, “Unwrapped Paper↗︎” is a wrapping paper featuring an archive of Vacant’s activities alongside hand-painted artwork, used both as part of the installation and to wrap products purchased during the event. In addition, ceiling lighting designed and produced by Vacant was installed in the “SELF CARE” section of the FRAMA Studio Store (Migrating Light↗︎).

As Copenhagen came alive with Fashion Week and Art Week, we were delighted that so many visitors stopped by the space jointly created by FRAMA and Vacant.
