Vacant/Centreでは、2026年10月2日（金）より、コペンハーゲンを拠点とするaarticlesをゲストに迎え、Praxis #3の一環として「The Setting」を開催します。

「Praxis」は、Vacantを主宰する永井祐介がVacant/Centreのギャラリースペースで展開する、オープンエンド・インスタレーションです。

Praxis #3のゲストとして迎えるaarticlesは、コンテンポラリークラフトやアート、ファウンドオブジェクトを扱うギャラリー／コレクティブルデザイン・プラットフォーム。ギャラリー、アーカイブ、マーケットプレイスという複数の側面を行き来しながら、ものと素材、そして日々の暮らしのあいだに生まれる対話を探求しています。

「The Setting」では、aarticlesのコレクションと、日本で見つけたデザインやファウンドオブジェクトを組み合わせて展示します。

テーブルを中心に、人が集い、食べ、働き、ものを並べ、言葉を交わす。異なるものや人が出会い、その配置や集う人々によって変化していく場をつくります。

さらに10月3日（土）には、aarticlesのファウンダーKasia Sznajderと旧知の仲である、東京を拠点に活動するアーティスト／シェフOla Szwałekを迎え、スペシャルディナーを開催します。展示の中心にあるテーブルを囲み、食と会話をともにする一夜です。

At Vacant/Centre, we are pleased to present The Setting, opening on Friday, October 2, 2026, as part of Praxis #3, with Copenhagen-based aarticles as our guest.

Praxis is an open-ended installation initiated by Yusuke Nagai, founder of Vacant, and developed within the gallery space at Vacant/Centre.

Joining Praxis #3 as our guest, aarticles is a gallery and collectible design platform presenting contemporary craft, art and found objects. Moving between the roles of gallery, archive and marketplace, aarticles explores the dialogue that emerges between objects, materials and everyday life.

For The Setting, aarticles brings together pieces from its collection with contemporary design and found objects sourced in Japan.

At the centre is the table: a place where people gather, eat, work, arrange objects and exchange words. Different objects and people come together around it, creating a setting that shifts with its arrangement and with those who gather there.

On Saturday, October 3, we will also host a special dinner with Tokyo-based artist and chef Ola Szwałek, a longtime friend of aarticles founder Kasia Sznajder. Gathering around the table at the centre of the exhibition, we will share an evening of food and conversation.
