About Althe Residency

Althe Artist Residency in Tokyo is a platform for creative exploration, inviting artists to immerse themselves in the rich tapestry of Japanese culture and arts for 2-3 months. Embracing the essence of Japan’s heritage and contemporary vibrancy, this residency fosters cultural exchange by providing space, resources, and connections for artists to dive into Japanese materials, traditions, and narratives. The residency culminates in a 2-week presentation showcasing the artist’s inspired research and creations, aiming to ignite dialogues and connections that transcend borders, celebrating the fusion of global perspectives with the beauty and depth of Japan’s artistic legacy.
