ジェレミー・サン＝トンジュは、Espace VERREでガラスを学び、BabaJaga Glassworksでファースト・アシスタントを務めたのち、2019年にモントリオールで「Verre d'Onge（ヴェール・ドンジュ）」を立ち上げました。彼の器は、吹きガラスと深く向き合ってきた修業から生まれています。それでも仕上がった作品は、高い技術を見せつけることなく、どこか肩の力が抜けた雰囲気をまとっています。形は丸みを帯びたり、ふくらんだり、少し中心からずれたりしています。色は、やわらかな帯や乳白色の面として現れ、ときには不意に濃く凝縮します。
 
Jérémie St-Onge founded Verre d’Onge in Montréal in 2019, following studies in glass at Espace VERRE and work at BabaJaga Glassworks. His practice is rooted in handblown glass, creating vessels with rounded, irregular forms and softly layered colour. Rather than pursuing technical perfection, St-Onge allows the process to remain visible in the finished pieces, giving each vessel its own character. Considered as a collection, the works form a playful family of forms, where differences in shape, colour, and proportion become part of the composition.
