アグニェシュカ・オフシャニは2018年に自身のスタジオを設立しました。建築を学んだ経歴は、いまも形や空間、光への向き合い方に影響を与えています。やがてテキスタイルが活動の中心になりました。手作業のウールタフティングから始めた実験は、表面と構造をめぐる幅広い探求へと広がっていきます。その探求は、つねに土地と結びついています。2020年からはベスキディ山脈の小規模な生産者と協働しています。その土地で採れたウールを使うことで、制作がその源とつながっています。
aarticlesのためには、アンドレアス・ビラートとともに鍛造金属のキャンドルホルダーのシリーズを制作しました。テキスタイルと道具、身ぶりと儀式がひとつになった作品です。表面には力と手の跡が等しく刻まれています。彫刻と暮らしの道具、そして文化のアーカイブのあいだへと、彼女の実践を広げるシリーズです。
 
Agnieszka Owsiany is a Polish artist and designer based in Poznań. Originally trained as an architect, she founded her studio in 2018, later turning toward more tangible, hand-crafted processes and material-led practices. Her recent work explores traditional craft through collaborations with Polish artisans, translating historical techniques and forms into contemporary objects. For aarticles, Owsiany developed a series of candle holders and forged metal pieces with blacksmith Andreas Billert, made using traditional blacksmithing methods.
