ルーイ・アイザマン＝ジョーンズは、ロンドンを拠点に活動するアーティスト／デザイナーです。家具、彫刻、オブジェの領域を行き来しながら制作しています。デザインを学んだ一方で、アーティストとしての直感にもとづいて制作し、昔ながらの道具と手仕事を用いて、使うことと存在感とが釣り合う作品をつくっています。再生木材や拾い集めた素材を好んで使い、形になる可能性とともに、その不揃いさにも価値を見出しています。
 
Louie Isaaman-Jones is a London-based artist and designer whose practice moves between furniture, sculpture, and object. Working with traditional tools, hand processes, and reclaimed materials, he creates functional works that retain a strong sculptural presence. For aarticles, he contributes the Book Stand, a simple, considered object that supports the act of reading while allowing the book itself to become part of the composition.
