Vacant’s base, Vacant/Centre, is located near the historic Yoyogi Hachimangu Shrine. The surrounding area, including the neighboring Yoyogi-Uehara station, is home to a variety of rich, local shops and exudes a calm atmosphere. With Yoyogi Park nearby, the area is filled with natural beauty, while still offering convenient walking access to major hubs like Shibuya and Shinjuku. Since establishing itself here in 2021, Vacant has evolved its approach to "place-making," expanding into "environment-building" where these places interact and influence one another.
